Our Therapeutic Life Coaching Approach

Our model of coaching is a prescriptive integration of Human Givens principles and other proven techniques and tools, used in a coaching context. 
Our sessions offer a briefer, and more effective, approach to practicing and training in emotional wellbeing.

What we do…

RECLAIM LIFE therapeutic life coaches will focus on helping you to identify unmet emotional needs and empower you to meet those needs by activating your own natural resources in new ways. 

To do this they use a variety of proven techniques aimed at changing emotional responses and problem solving.

Our Coaching Sessions

At Reclaim Life we offer 5 FREE one-to-one sessions, face to face or via zoom or the phone, to help you take back control of your own life by giving you the tools for self-healing.

We only take self referrals but if you are looking for help for someone else, then please share or show them our information and encourage them to get in touch or call in and see us.

For professionals – if you have a client or are working with someone who you feel would benefit from our support, please pass on our contact details and number to them.  We understand that sometimes it is difficult to make the first contact, so if you are with them you can give us a call so that we can talk some more.

What are the Human Givens?

We all have basic physical and also emotional needs, such as the need for attention, love, security, connection and control.  To help us meet our emotional needs we all have valuable resources including memory, imagination, self-awareness and a range of thinking styles to use in the changing situations of everyday life.

These needs and resources are built into our biology that, together, they are known as the “human givens”. 

When our emotional needs are not met, or our resources are used incorrectly, we can suffer or experience considerable distress such as anxiety, anger, depression.  This can also have an impact on those around us. 

Through the Human Givens approach we can learn to recognise our emotional needs and to use our built in, innate resources, to help us meet those needs.  When are needs are being met, we feel balanced and back in control our life.
